In-line Hockey!!

No, we aren't playing it at Davis in PE, but I just got word the Northeast Cobb YMCA is about to start up their Winter/Spring Youth Coed In-line Hockey League. Hockey is an awesome physical activity! Talk about a work out. If you are interested the contact information is listed below!

I know this blog has been for PE happenings only, but this I figured I toss some information out there for you guys. After all, we don't want our students to be active just during our class. We want them to be as physically active as possible as much as possible!!

Thanks!
Coach Jones

Dust off your dancin' shoes!!

The break is over. The new year has begun...and we are ready to dance our tails off!! This week kicks off our dance and rhythm unit. We have a ton of cool stuff in store for the students. We will be reviewing some old dances and learning some new ones!

The student will be covering dances such as:
  • The Mississippi Mud Slide
  • The Cha Cha Slide
  • Macarena
  • The Bunny Hop
  • Virginia Reel
  • Hand Jive
  • The Twist
  • Conga
  • La Raspa (The Mexican Hat Dance)
  • The Electric Slide

And I am sure we will squeeze in a few more! So, when your child gets home...see if they can perform it for you.

thanks for all you do!
