Oops!

Sorry everyone, I was trying to post this last week, but accidentaly hit the save button instead of the publish button. A little late but here was last weeks blog entry:

So, we are now finished with our basic skills review for 1st- 5th. Those guys and girls did a great job. We were able to hit the basics on- throwing and catching, kicking (long and short distances), and striking (with long and short handled implements).

This week we have started…..Fitness Testing! For right now we are introducing all the tests, and allowing the students to have a practice run or two. Next week we will start recording scores! As last year, we will be using the Fitness Gram Fitness Tests in our classes. They have a web site if you care to check it out: www.fitnessgram.net

The kindergarten classes finished up throwing and catching last week. We are going to be taking a small break in our basic skills intro to do a little fitness of our own. We are not testing the kindergarteners, but we are introducing them to the tests. Just allowing the little guys and gals some time to try the tests and talk a little about why we want to keep our bodies healthy!

thanks!
Coach Jones
